"A Leader In The Second Civil Rights Movement Believing In The Promise That America Will Rise Anew"
The Hathaway PAC is a hybrid political action committee that strives articulate a clear and compelling national agenda while building partnerships that promote civic engagement, advocacy, and policy reform at every level of government.
Civic engagement is central to the profile of the organization. In 2006, I ran for the Tennessee House of Representatives (District 53), making history as one of the youngest African American women to seek state legislative office. For over sixteen years, she has been active in voter registration efforts across Tennessee, Arkansas, and Georgia. Her career as an educator and leader spans various disciplines, educational capacities, and geographical regions across the United States of America.

Furthermore, I was the 2022 Democratic Nominee for the 118th United States Congress (2023-2025) for Arkansas’ Second District (AR-02). With the campaign slogan, “Let’s Take Central Arkansas Onward, Forward, Upward, and Outward,” I captured more votes than any other Democratic Nominee who ran in the four (4) congressional districts, as well as the largest percentage of votes compared to all Democratic candidates who ran statewide. Furthermore, in Winter 2025, I threw my name into the ring for Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairperson.
It is my desire to collaborate with entities to bring about transformative solutions to critical issues within the beloved community. With your financial support, we can obtain our core initiatives:
-
Cause: A national messaging, marketing, and pressure campaign on the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and Freedom to Vote Act which are two (2) pieces of congressional legislation of great criticality.
-
Host A National Lectureship: The organization shall host and convene public intellectuals, leaders, and experts to discuss the most critical issues of our time such as education, the macroeconomy and microeconomy, culture, history, governance and law, and sociology.
-
Conduct Research and Analysis: Produce research reports on sociopolitical and economic factors impacting the United States of America holistically. The research will provide the best methodologies and strategies to promote better social outcomes, build stronger connections, and shrink historic racial, gender, opportunity, and achievement gaps. The overall objective and significance of the research studies are to enhance intellectual merit, to be a literary authority, and articulate broader impacts.
-
Coalition Building: To cultivate and amass a following that is multiracial, multicultural, multiethnic, and multigenerational to engage and have agency on the law and political and public policies.
-
Think Tank: Give informed commentary through various mediums, write opinion editorials, host a podcast, and record white papers. We will stand on the side of debate and conversations on equality and equity, voting and civil rights, and fostering economic and social education, and will be instrumental in every realm of human endeavor.

With your contribution and benevolence, we can be firmly cemented as a pillar of democratic values and a driver of solutions to local, regional, national, and global problems. We seek to deliver on Kingian philosophy of nonviolence to quicken the pace of constructive change. No longer can injustice, humiliation, and discrimination stand on every street corner, in every urban core and small-town America where we seek to be most entrenched; or anywhere our international megaphone speaks. To achieve our national goals, we will build and sustain a vigorous public dialogue among every socioeconomic class about civil and human rights movements that must burst through in America. We will calm the fear of changing demographics and head the conversation with those who are threatened by the hierarchical and patriarchal political and social structures which drive present actions. Those that love freedom, who claim justice, and push open the doors of power know there will come a day when people of all backgrounds are in the highest echelon of decision-making. This will be accomplished by adding to our network of civic leaders, changemakers, educators, founders, and public servants.
We will employ every strategy, take key action steps; and develop metrics for organizational effectiveness; be the connective tissue for community partnerships; and set in motion a framework to evaluate every institution. This work will be done at the grassroots, grasstops, and utmost levels of our society. The overarching mission and vision of the Hathaway PAC is to benefit the most vulnerable among us; children and youth, minorities, seniors, those living in poverty, and the undereducated. Each group is living in a state of social, political, economic, and legal turmoil. As an example, we desire to aid the children born in the poorest town in Mississippi or Lowndes County, Alabama so they can rush to the top of the political and socioeconomic ladder with equal opportunity under the law.
We can live in a country that is thoughtful, caring, conscious about the profound and enduring interest in the constitutional and statutory issues surrounding racial and partisan gerrymandering, particularly as these practices disparately impact communities of color and undermine the fundamental right to vote and civil rights. Anything counter to that is thoughtless, callous, and unconscious. We will uncover new opportunities and potential and real threats and weaknesses to systems that prevent marginalized communities from obtaining “The Dream.” We shall agitate for political, economic, and social mobility on a grand scale.
I believe deeply that I am among the leaders our nation has been waiting for—one who is prepared, historically grounded, visionary, and action-oriented. With your support and partnership, we can carry out systemic changes in a bold way and uplift the beloved community throughout the United States of America. I am requesting funding to begin, advance, scale, promote, and create capacity for this initiative.
In solidarity,
Quintessa Hathaway, Ed.D.
